Just got off work and your child has soccer practice in just about 30 minutes? Looks like another dinner night of fast food. That doesn’t have to mean unhealthy fattening meals. Here is a list that I have compiled of “healthier” entrees and sides from 8 of the most popular fast-food chains.

1. Arby’s

Stop going to your signature go-to-sandwiches and chose the Roast Turkey Farmhouse Salad with some Light Italian dressing. Coming in at 260 total calories and 24 grams of protein, you will definitely not be regretting this meal tonight.

2. Taco Bell

Are you craving some Mexican food without all the extra calories and fat, oh, and feeling awful about what you just ate after? How about trying the Power Menu Bowl, with the extra protein, 27 grams to be exact, this 500 Calorie meal will be sure to satisfy your craving and you personally.

3. Wendy’s

It’s time for a short lunch break and you’re wanting a fresh salad. Try Wendy’s half-size portion of the Harvest Chicken Salad, with 22 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber, and best of all 330 calories, you are sure to be refueled and ready to take on the last part of your day.

4. Chick-Fil-A

Next time you hit this food chain try to avoid that chicken sandwich craving by ordering the 8 count Grilled Chicken nugget meal with a side of the Super Food Side Salad. All together you get your 29 grams of protein, 280 Calories total, with a satisfying stomach.

5. McDonald’s

You can still eat a good ol’ McDonalds Burger, but try eating it plain this time, just the burger, bun, and condiments you like. Adding a side salad instead of fries will keep this meal low calorie and right on target with your weight management, totaling around 300 calories.

6. Burger King

Burger King actually has a burger that has fewer calories than one of their salads! Yes, you can still eat a burger and not rabbit food! The Veggie Burger tops in at 390 calories, and 21 grams of protein, you even have room to throw in that 60 calorie garden salad just go light on the dressing.

7. Dunkin Donuts

Needing a morning boost without the extra grease and stomach pain along with that coffee? Try D&D’s Egg White Sandwich with only 290 calories and 14 grams of protein. There you have it, now you don’t have to wonder about how to eat healthy at top food chains! My go to is always Panera because they have a larger selection of healthy fresh meals. When in doubt always go for something with veggies in it. these items are normally healthier and add much more nutritional value than that chicken nugget just took out of the deep fryer.
