History

Waffle House is a privately owned chain of restaurants in the United States with a casual dining setting providing hospitality services. The eatery is owned by Waffle House, Inc., which was founded by Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner. The headquarters is located at Gwinnett County, which is located near Norcross, Georgia. The concept of introducing this restaurant was to syndicate fast food and 24-hour table service for customers.

The first food outlet was established on a Labor Day weekend in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia. Majority of the ownership is still under the two founders. After the opening of its fourth food outlet, in 1960 the company started distributing franchisee for its restaurants. By the end of that year, the company grew its restaurants number by 27.

Waffle House offers a number of food and beverages to choose from, wherein the prices on its menu are reasonable and affordable for majority crowd. The food menu consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, especially focusing on eggs, steaks and waffles. The breakfast is priced around $7, while the lunch/dinner meals range anything between $5 and $8.

The restaurant’s menu also consists of grilled biscuits; sandwiches; hashbrowns; side dishes; value dollar menu; wraps and salads. The sandwiches and wraps costs around $5.50, while steaks costs around $8. The salads and hashbrowns range between $2.50 to $6 approximately. Kids meals are also available and are priced at $4.25. Their beverages are prices at around $1.75.

Compared to other similar refectory chains, Waffle House price menu are cheaper, especially their value dollar menu.
