History
Both based in Hawaii, brothers Charles and Francis Higa founded the fast food chain in 1966. From the start, their goal was to establish a restaurant that they could open for 24 hours.
With over twenty branches in Hawaii alone, Zippy’s has received several awards and recognitions over the years. In 2018, they received the Best Late Night Eatery Award from the Star Advertiser, the Best Place for Potluck Pickups from the Best of Honolulu Family, and the Star Circle Perpetual Award from the Ilima Awards, among many others.
Review
The restaurant’s interior is so inviting that you feel relaxed as soon as you settle in one of the booths. It has a cozy ambience which makes it an ideal place to hang out with family and friends.
If simply by looking at how they prepare food is already mouthwatering, I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed when you taste them!
Among their bestsellers are the Burrito Plate, the Boca Burger, and the Breakfast Plate.
Zippy’s is usually full but customers don’t mind waiting for a few minutes because of the friendly staff members.
