History
It was in 1991 when then University of Texas students Dave Paul and Mark Greenberg first became interested in putting up a food business that would focus on chicken wings. They studied the feasibility of such a business until they, together with Sean Greenberg, finally established the first Pluckers Wing Bar restaurant in Rio Grande in 1995.
Pluckers has several locations in the United States with a total of 5,000 employees. Among the awards and recognitions they have received include being recognized by ESPN as one of the Top 5 Sports Bar in North America in 2013 and being recognized by USA Today as one of the Top 10 Wing Restaurants in the country in 2012.
Review
Pluckers has several big TV screens that feature different sports channels. They have a large seating capacity. The entire place gives off a relaxing, casual vibe.
You will definitely love the different offerings on their menu! Everything is scrumptious and doesn’t taste like any other food you have tried in other restaurants. This will surely make you come back as often as possible!
Their menu includes Grilled Chicken Garden Salad, Honey Barbecue Chicken, and Boneless Wings, among many others. There are also more than ten different types of sauces to choose from, which includes Buffalo Mild, Fire in the Hole, and Spicy Ranch. If you’re not into superhot and spicy food and sauces, don’t worry. They have milder versions, too!
All Pluckers staff members are kind and cordial. You can even come to the place alone and sit by the bar. The bartenders will always willingly start a conversation with you.
