History
Gus Belt founded the first branch of Steak n’ Shake in Normal, Illinois. He started his own business after spending four years in the US Marine Corps.
The restaurant has more than 500 locations in several parts of the US and the world. It has 417 company-owned branches and 127 franchised locations.
Review
It is a classy restaurant with a breathtaking and relaxing atmosphere. It is a 50s-style dining space with good music. I planned to return here to taste the chili.
The restaurant offers a good variety of food and drinks at good prices. The burgers are extremely satisfying and with a perfect blend of ingredients. Anything “crispy” is truly crispy.
The best sellers are the garlic parmesan fries and the Cajun fries. You should try the “Mix ‘N Match” and add a milkshake. Get the one with M & M’s!
Steak n’ Shake has the friendliest and fun-loving crews. I asked for a burger and a milkshake, and a friendly staff served them to me in less than 15 minutes.
