Rubio’s Coastal Grill (it used to be called Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill) serves New Mex or Fresh Mex. They are best known for their tacos – fish tacos to be exact!

History
Rubio’s Coastal Grill was founded and was also named after Ralph Rubio way back in 1983 in San Diego, California.
There are more than 200 franchises and licensed restaurants under the Rubio’s brand. It has won several notable awards such as USA Today’s #1 Best Fish Taco in California.
Review
The casual ambiance in Rubio’s helps set the mood for a relaxed laidback dining experience. It’s the kind of place where you can bring the kids along.
You get as close to genuine Mexican tacos here in this restaurant. They serve some of the best fish and shrimp tacos.
Shrimp tacos and fish tacos come out highly recommended. The shrimp burrito also the pico de gallo are easy favorites.
The staff is welcoming and friendly. Service is fast though there is a little wait time when the place gets crowded – expect your tacos in less than 5 minutes on average.
