Davanni’s is known for its nine different hoagies and the first New York Style pizza outside of New York itself. The chain is also known for its garlic cheese bread,15-layer lasagna, and its six grain buns.

History
The restaurant was originally known as Pontillo’s which was opened in New York in 1947. However, they needed a name that they could trademark, thus, Devanni’s was born.
There are multiple locations and they also own their own coffee shops which in most cases are located right next door to their restaurant.
Review
Many of the locations have recently been remodeled and it has made quite an improvement in their services. The remodel has improved the dining experience for many customers.
The food that is served is nothing but the best. Many people state that it is the best pizza place that is in the area.
When going to Devanni’s it is recommended that you try the pizza and the buffalo chicken panino. There are however many options to choose from including pasta, wraps, and even sandwiches.
According to reviews, the staff is very friendly and they are quick to serve you. However, this will depend on location, time of day, and number of people.
