History
Five Guys Burgers and Fries was founded by the Janie and Jerry Murrell couple in 1986. The “Five Guys” in the restaurant’s name come from Jerry and their four sons.
As of 2016 the restaurant chain serves more than 1,500 locations. It has received multiple awards from different states including Washington Magazine’s “Number 1 Burger” award.
Review
The ambiance and setup in this restaurant is typical of any fast food chain. There’s plenty of seating for everyone with a drive-thru window.
The burgers, hotdogs, and fries are no less than big, heavy, and tasty. You basically get what you pay for with some extras – lots of food on your plate.
Their bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and mushrooms are special mentions. Don’t forget their Cajun fries but ask the crew to go easy on the Cajun seasoning.
Service is good and the crew and staff are fast and efficient. They serve your order in five minutes or less.
