Rod Wilkin, the founder of Taco Casa, had a plan in 1967 to open a Mexican restaurant. After years of germination, the first restaurant opened in 1974.
Today, Taco Casa is a landmark. From a single unit in 1974, the restaurant grew to 80 units in 2015. Taco Casa expects to add more sites in the future.
Review
Don’t be deceived by the restaurant’s outside appearance, which may look cramped and cluttered. Once inside, you’ll find the restaurant to be relaxed and clean.
There is nothing flashy on the menu – no marketing attractions and no catchy tags on flavors. The taste of the spicy Mex food says it all.
Along with growth in locations is the expansion of menu items. In addition to beef combo, you now have an option for chicken combo, beef burrito, soft taco, small nachos, and many more.
Service is fast and efficient. The place is neat, and you get great customer service from the restaurant’s friendly personnel.
