History
Their first location was in Dublin, Ohio which opened in 2002. It was founded by Gary Callicoat who has been in the restaurant business since the age of 14.
Rusty Bucket has 23 locations in Florida, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, and Ohio. The restaurant has been recognized as one of the top emerging and must-watch restaurants by FSR magazine.
Review
I got the feel that it’s where locals can watch the game, hold a business event, or go have their weekend brunch. Its comfy ambiance personifies what “restaurant and tavern.”
The food ranges from being average American fare to excellent American comfort food. They use quality ingredients and serve food fresh out of the kitchen.
I recommend their bucket bites, fried pickles, French onion soup, sandwiches, and burgers — particularly the Veggie Burger and Rusty Bucket Burger.
The service staff is attentive and friendly. Waiting time can be as long as 40 minutes during peak hours, but they have call-ahead seating, so take advantage of that.
