History
George Biel, Vic Branstetter, and Joe Ledbetter – all restaurateurs with Hillstone Restaurant Group – founded the first Houston’s in Nashville, Tennessee in 1977.
Since then the chain has expanded to fifteen locations stretching from California in the west to Georgia, Florida, and New Jersey in the East.
Review
Houston’s advises men to wear collared shirts and for women to dress formally. The restaurant also discourages bringing young children and parties larger than six.
But the experience isn’t all ambiance – the food lives up to the hype. Everything from the steak to the seafood is prepared to juicy perfection.
I highly recommend the Hawaiian ribeye if you’re in the mood for a steak. If you’re more interested in the sushi, try the salmon, tuna, and yellowtail.
Reservations are an absolute must. Once you are seated, the service is phenomenal, topping off a chic, professional dining experience.
