The chain was started by an amazing duo. These two men created several restaurants, and saw the potential in this very chain. The company has had success in creating a strong and profitable food chain. As of now, there are 84 locations in the United States, with plans in the works for even more profit and locations.

History
Houlihan’s has had an interesting and growing history. Just a year ago it was brought under new management. Let’s look over this company’s interesting history. The franchise initially began from a partnership of two men, Joe Gilbert and Paul Robinson. Both of these men had history in the restaurant history.
The two soon formed a restaurant firm. This firm would go on to open many new places. Plaza III Steakhouse and Gilbert and Robinson’s (later named Sam and Wilson’s) were both opened by this firm. Houlihan’s itself was located in an old men’s clothing store that gave the chain its current name. The restaurant was opened on April 1st, 1972.
The duo found success in their endeavor. It was so great that the pair began an effort to open their franchise nationwide. A second location was founded in New Orleans Louisiana in 1973, another in Atlanta Georgia in 1974. The chain continued from there, making new and profitable locations.
In 2006, the chain received a redesign. This was so that the chain could be updated to fix new cultural tastes in interior design. Further, new music was added, uniforms changed, and even the menu format was adapted. Now, there are 84 locations across the United States. The company is based in Leawood, Kansas.

The menu of Houlihan’s is brood and has a variety of recommended menu items for you to enjoy. There is even a nutritional guide for customers. Foods include flatbreads, salads, sliders, steaks, and assorted foods in the main section of the menu. Several of its foods come with glutton free and vegetarian options too.
The price of the menu items are a bit pricy. This is not a franchise for those on a cheap spending allowance. The buffalo bleu salad costs $17.00. The Classic Kansas City Strip steak costs $27.00. There are several wines offered, 3 types for about $10.00. There is the Riesling or Pinot Grigio wines for customers to enjoy.
The ambiance of the chain is classy. Select music plays in the background. Chairs and tables have soft hues of green and brown. Patrons have access to the luxurious and spacious bar. Staff of the franchise have had rave reviews. The hygiene of the company is also really good and clean too. Tables look clean and shiny.
Wait times of the restaurant vary from time to time and place to place. The lunch, dinner, and even weekend rushes will be very busy. It is advised to go during slower times, like weekday evenings. There are several locations across the United States. There is one in Virginia, Maryland, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. There is even a joke location on Mars in the Gale Crater.
