History
Victor Fuentes established El Toro in 1998, out of what he called necessity. The restaurant has a variety of specials such as taco Tuesday, margarita Monday and live music nights.
There are ten El Toro locations throughout Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio. All locations are open between 11am and 10pm, and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the restaurants stay open until 11pm.
Review
This restaurant provides a classic Mexican atmosphere with a full menu and catering services available. Select locations also offer delivery, however this is not an option at all locations.
The most popular item on the menu is the carnitas dinner, which includes fried pork, served with guacamole, or a salad. Their appetizers as well priced, and also come in the same variety that much of the menu has, with choices for every member of the family!
The kids menu is a simple, yet enjoyable collection of well known Mexican food, such as chimichangas, and enchiladas. They also have more common kids items such as hotdogs, cheeseburger and chicken tenders.
El Toro is a perfect place to bring the entire family, or to enjoy drinks with just the adults. The menus are easy to follow and the food is familiar, with a Mexican twist that keeps people coming back for more!
