History
Founded in Ohio in 1990 by L. Scott Grannerman, the restaurant got its name when the owner was told he made “the best pizza east of Chicago.”
Now owned by franchisee Tony Collins, there are 120 locations. They average four out of five stars on their public Facebook page.
Review
Restaurants have plenty of table seating. You can watch a game on one of the televisions on the wall while you eat.
The have standard pizza and topping choices. You can also get specialty pizzas like the BLT or taco pizza. The bread for the subs is top notch too.
You can build your own pizza too. There is also a lunch buffet option. If you want something lighter, they have salads. But best to save room for dessert pizza.
Service can be a little slower than other food chains, but loyal customers deem it to be worth the wait.
