History
Jimmy and Johnny Tung opened the first store in 2002 a few blocks from the University of Florida. It originally catered to college students looking for quality inexpensive Asian food.
There are now 9 locations across Tallahassee, South Florida, Gainesville, Orlando, and Jacksonville. The most popular ones were the original Bento Blue and the 2nd location dubbed as Bento Red.
Review
The place has a modern interior with traditional Asian décor like Chinese lanterns and golden dragons. It had lots of windows that give the place a bright, invigorating atmosphere.
The menu is extensive and caters to a wide range of preferences. They have everything from wok-fired noodles and fresh sushi to sweet boba teas.
The bestsellers are Spicy Cream Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken. Pork Katsu curry, Pad Thai, and the Tuna Poke bowl are crowd-pleasers as well.
The place is well-lit and not too noisy. It has an inviting atmosphere with friendly and courteous staff. The best nights to dine are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
