History
This first restaurant was called “Snack Shop” and was located along California’s Pacific Coast Highway. The Snack Shop was bought by John and Audrey Mcintosh in 1948 and later converted into Coco’s.
Management of the chain has changed several times over the years. By 2015, Coco’s now has 57 restaurants. Most of these are found in California, Nevada and Arizona.
Review
The restaurant offers a casual dining experience. Their in-store bakery that churns out fresh, delicious baked goodies all day. The atmosphere is great, with attentive and friendly staff.
While they are a restaurant, the baked goods are amazing. The savory menu is good as well. Taste and flavor are pretty consistent.
The pies are the restaurant’s top crowd-pleaser. They offer it in different flavors. The cinnamon roll is also a must-have. It is worth noting that their steaks are also cooked well and very delicious.
Service is good. The staff are attentive and will gladly refill drinks. Seating is good as the place has many tables. Wait times vary, depending on number of diners.
