History
Motivated by his desire for humanely treated meat and clean comfort food, Euripedes Pelekanos founded Bareburger in Astoria, New York City in 2009.
Since then, it has grown into a flourishing franchise with 39 locations in the country. Bareburger won a nod in the 2015 Hot Concept Awards by Nation’s Restaurant News.
Review
Its ambiance screams organic, with earthy, wood interiors that project the vibe of being in a barn or farmhouse. There is plenty of comfortable seating.
The resto’s Impossible Burger and Beyond Burger make plant-based beef possible. All of the menu items, including the collard green wraps, deliver on taste.
Do try their French fries, which are served with several dipping sauces. For meat-eaters, their Blazin’ Bison burger is a must-try.
Waiting time depends on the location, but it’s about average across most places. The staff are accommodating and make your dining experience more enjoyable.
