History

Pancheros past is an interesting one, Rodney Anderson, who is still the current president of the eatery, established it back in 1992. He started it after completing his studies at the University of Chicago and acquired his MBA. He started the first restaurant with capital that he gained from the stock market.

The first eatery opened its doors in Iowa City, neighboring the Iowa Campus University. There were ten more locations opened in same Midwestern college schools towns. When it reached the year 1998, the eatery was refurbished to comprise the addition of a press of dough for the popular tortillas that are freshly pressed. Additionally, it was renovated to a modernized, more fashionable diner décor.

The first non-corporate diner was opened in 2003. In 2007, the restaurant was initially introduced to Bob the Tool. Bob turned out to be a renowned part of this eatery experience, blending burritos in advance and later rolling them and letting each ingredient equally spread through the burrito. It greatly led to the eatery popularity of their unique burritos.

In the year 2012, Pancheros once more went through a slight adjust to their branding, changing their logo marks a little, and unveiling their symbol logo. The changes also gave birth to the warm and industrial atmosphere of this restaurant. Currently, there are around 67 units all over the United States.
