History
Hudson Grille is a part of Metrotainment Cafes. Metrotainment Cafes was founded by Jeffrey Landau in 1991. He had spent his career in the hospitality business, absorbing what it took to run successful restaurants. The first restaurant the group opened was Einstein’s, in Midtown. It grew to become a casual neighborhood favorite.
In 1993, they added a casual steakhouse with a honky-tonk theme they called Cowtippers. It is also located in the Midtown Atlanta area. Hudson Grille, Joe’s on Juniper, and Guaco Joe’s followed, along with Sugar Shack and Metrotainment Bakery. They also opened their own full-service catering company – Epic Events Catering.
When opening a new location, they aim for expanding into existing locations. They use this cost-saving measure so that they can spend their money on providing perks for their customers, such as loading the walls with plasma televisions in Hudson Grille. They also subscribe to every sports package, which can be very expensive.
Their goal is to provide guests with fun and entertainment in interesting environments. They believe in the value of entertainment and rewarding their loyal customers. They want customers to leave their establishments knowing that they got value out of their visit. They use social media and other forms of technology to listen and respond to feedback.
