Cheba Hut offers delicious toasted subs. The sandwiches are great, but its the cannabis-themed establishment that attracts more customers each day. The food is marijuana-themed but doesn’t contain any weed.
The culture – rather, counter-culture of the place is its huge attraction. The menu is also an interesting collection of uniquely-named foods. Ingredients are homegrown and served in a relaxed, atmosphere.

History
It all started in 1998 and was founded by Scott Jennings. The first hut was opened in 1998 in Tempe, Arizona. Jennings reportedly paid his customers $5 to encourage them to promote the restaurant.
By March 2018, 20 Cheba Huts also began serving their unique subs in other locations, including: Arizona, Oregon, Wisconsin, New Mexico, California and Colorado. The marijuana theme continue to spark both positive and negative attention.
Review
The place has a laid-back kind of hospitality. Its casual dining atmosphere is often compared to restaurants one might find at the beach. Various art pieces decorate the interior.
Their food follows a marijuana theme, that is, the names allude to marijuana and stoner language. However, there is no marijuana in any of the food on their menu.
They have 30 different toasted subs with many dips and sauce options. The “White Widow” is a popular choice. Customers also get all the Kool-Aid they want as they dine.
Service is good, with friendly staff to accommodate the orders and requests. Wait times to get seated and for orders to be delivered are reasonable.
