History
Established in small-town North Carolina in 1991, Kenny Moore cooked every burger himself at that time.
From sheer hard work and determination, they have opened up over 130 open-grill restaurants across eight states and two countries. Furthermore, Hwy 55 won the nationwide Best Burger in 2012 by Burgerbusiness.com.
Review
As soon as customers enter the restaurant, they will definitely notice the 1950’s diner-inspired interior design. There are some 50’s references where customers can see around the restaurant and hear some 50’s music playing over their speakers.
They serve well-loved favorites in any American diner. They have burgers, cheesesteaks, crinkle-cut fries, salads, and sandwiches just to name a few.
Besides from their well-renowned burgers, the Philly cheesesteak with fries is a crowd favorite. For dessert, their frozen custard is arguably the best.
They serve quite fast and the waiting time is quick without the expense in the quality and freshness of their food.
