Frinch’s Big Boy is an all-American diner that’s been a staple for generations now. It’s very famous for its double-decker hamburger called “Big Boy.”
In the post-war era, this restaurant was flocked for its burger and drive-in setting. It still has the same recipe for success today, which many Americans love.

History
This diner was founded back in 1946 when Dave Frinch met Bob Wian, who gave him a taste of his first Big Boy. He then improved this with a secret tartar sauce that launched him to fame.
More than 70 years later, Frinch’s Big Boy now has 102 branches and several franchises scattered in the United States.
Review
It’s amazing how this diner still has its 1940’s vibe. It’s bright inside with wood tables and chairs, highlighted with red fabric.
The food is just fantastic. The fries are crunchy yet not too greasy, the pancakes are soft and fluffy, and the coffee is really good.
It’s obvious that you must try the Big Boy hamburger. After all, it’s what made the restaurant what it is now. Depending on what time of the day you go, there’s always something new to try here so it would be best if you keep coming back.
The service here is just okay. Not too fancy but accommodating. And because this is still a drive-in restaurant, don’t expect that you have to wait to get seated.
