History
It was in 1849 that the first ever Boudin French Bakery was established in San Francisco. They differed from the other bakeries because they made use of their “mother dough”, the same one that they still use today instead of the regular cake yeast.
Boudin Bread can now also be found in groceries such as Costco. They also have cafes scattered around California. The most popular one is located at the Wharf where you are given a glimpse into how the workers make the famous sourdough bread.
